The philosophy of CART is to collect all the available research done on cost-effective and environment friendly technologies for various fields, simplify them for direct use for the benefit of the poor and rural people and disseminate this technical information by conducting trainings and workshops, providing technological consultation and supervision and promoting manufacture and trade of these technologies.    As CART believes in bringing about a change in the habitat by the means of popularizing appropriate technologies, they have been put in the category of ‘technical processes'.
