Architect Srinivas Murthy sees his role more as an educator than merely as a building service provider.  He believes, that to popularize the alternate building one has to find acceptance for them with the Government, the builders, the mainstream and high profile architecture and all the others who undertake or promote large-scale and popular building activities.  Hence, through his architectural practice, he targets such clients by selling them the idea of an aesthetically pleasing building, constructed with appropriate technologies but yet made to look as mainstream image conscious architecture.  Focusing on the interesting ways in which he convinces his ideas to his clients, he has been put in the category of ‘political processes'.
