Working in partnerships and networks is one of the main strengths of UNDP. They work in partnership with different kinds of organizations. They mainly interact with government officials on the government schemes. But they also work with non-governmental organizations such as the M.S. Swaminathan Research Foundation, Care today a developmental wing of the India Today group, and UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund); with financing institution such as SIDBI and NABARD; and with local level organizations such as the Community polytechnic for the toilets programme and the Department of Social Forestry for the afforestation programmes. |
