UNDP in Orissa mainly works towards the development of the economically and socially challenged sections, which generally includes people who are of the Below Poverty Line (BPL) category. The end beneficiaries of all their activities are mostly the under-privileged poor, tribal folks and all other rural people.
They also offer partnership and technical assistance to other organisations that are working in the rural areas for similar causes. As per the mandate, there is strong partnership with the government to effectively implement their development schemes.
