In coastal Orissa the operation area includes four districts of Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara and Balasore. Here, the focus is on rebuilding the habitat of the places destroyed by the successive natural disasters. In western Orissa the focus is more on drought mitigation and livelihood options in order to stop the migration of the population to neighbouring states. The thrust is also towards tribal development here. The districts of operation here include Rayagada, Nuapada, Bolangir, Koraput and Malkangiri. The aim is to gradually spread the movement in the entire province/ state.
