The tsunami of 2004 left the coastal people of Tamil Nadu in shock. For the first time, it hit home how little prepared we are face the tempers of the sea. Or even regular events, like cyclones and floods. The film meets members of various task forces and reveals how they are now preparing themselves to meet disasters. Sea rescues, village mapping, first-aid techniques and preparing for cyclones are some of the topics dealt with in this film. These activities not only allay the fears of the local community but foster confidence and leadership qualities as everyone - young and old are included in this programme.
